Niki Barbery Bleyleben
Nicole (Niki) Barbery Bleyleben, aka ‘girlwithoutawatch‘, is a Bolivian-American philosopher, social scientist and mum of two. She is passionate about creative approaches to education and is currently involved in a number of initiatives that inspire children to connect mathematics to nature, art and physics and to empower children to be economic thinkers. Niki has a doctorate from the LSE, where she studied as a Fulbright scholar. Her research explored the changing boundaries between the state, private sector and voluntary sector in the provision of services for low-income households. She has lectured on Social Policy, Social Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Since 2010, Niki has been bringing women together in cities across the world to discuss the extraordinary insights children provide for philosophical discourse. Her motto:
