Caterpillar Run 2010
A convoy of 34 energetic friends – of varying ages, sizes and running abilities – decided to bind themselves together and run the Marathon, with the aim of breaking a World Record and raising money for children’s charities.
In our livery of tasteful fluorescent-green tutus, socks and caps – with a couple of antennae at the helm – we proved that working with others achieves more than on your own by setting a new World Record for the most people joined together to complete the 26.2 mile route. And raising over £250,000 for 12 different young people’s charities. Our little grey cells started working overtime when we realised we could do this amount of good. So six of us set up Big Change to support young people in the UK reach their potential.
